Ahoy, mates!
A short while back we had a discussion about forming a group build here at MSW with sailing vessels as it's subject base...we had discussed many options, and most of us had agreed upon leaving the floor wide open as per kit subject matter, era, etc., and media form (wood or plastic kit) whatever the modelers personal choice...this would be a "for fun" build only, for the sake of building and discussing these old girls, with a long build time to facilitate a wooden kit if the modeler so chooses to build one (and there are modelers here that can churn out wooden kits quite speedily!).
Is there still an interest amongst the members for a build such as this?

That's great, Dave!
From the amount of activity lately around here, it might be just you and I, mate...I'm hoping that it's just the summer activities that's keeping everyone occupied and away from MSW!

We've been having really nice weather lately, not counting the almost 100 degree heat, and outlandish storms at night, so hopefully folks are enjoying the clear days and power failures at night. (had another one last night at work. Thankfully the back up service kicked in, and I didn't have to listen to 3 pounding diesel generators all night long. :-) :-)

Hey Gunny,

Ole' Gator is still in. It just seems that every time I've turned around for the last couple of weekends, we've had something to do. Speaking of which. Gotta go, I hear a little boy who's ready to get up.

edit...like I said. Last week it was 3 hours for Ian's neuro check up (A-OK) and this weekend it's his birthday party. But things should settle down here soon.

I am still interested...

the caveat though is that I have no clue how much time I have left. And my bank-account is more or less on life-support after my trip through the US, and I would need to buy a kit specifically for this build...

Cheers,

Harm

That's good to here, mates...
I have no idea of when exactly we may begin, currently I'm looking at the campaign activities of the other sites of Armorama, and trying to coordinate a "quiet time" to begin so that we can have maximum participation from the modelers who build in many genres...
I was just curious if the spark was still there, glad it is, for sure!
