Ahoy all ye Flattops entrants! It's Roll Call Time!

Well, folks, 30 days has gone by since the official close of Garry Beebe's Flattops Campaign here at MSW, But, we have a special campaign rider attached to this one which is giving the late starters and those builders with complex models the opportunity to finish the campaign with honors and receive a ribbon when finished.

I need to know how many are yet building out there...so far only two members have reported any progress at all since, so we need to have a SITREP here, people...We can't keep this campaign going forever, so I need to know what's up!

Making steady progress with Ark R mate, will post some pics shortly. Cranes, aerials and .5 guns to do mainly. Oh and of course the air group!

The Amagi has been puttied, sanded and primed. Found a few more spots to touch up with additional filler, which will start the sanding/priming cycle again! Once I'm satisfied the seams are filled properly, I'll start shooting some paint when I find the time....

Dreadnought takes the priority spot in the model ship yard, she's due for delivery in less than two weeks. Once she and Invincible are delivered, I'll be able to devote more time to Amagi

As promised, some pics of the ongoing Ark build. Sorry the focus isn't great, but they're 'quick and dirty' snaps without a tripod under artificial light. There's a few more in my album. Comments welcome as ever - bear in mind there's still a lot for me to do!

Although "dirty pics", Graham, I really like the way the PE enhances your Ark, and all the work you have put into her! Looking very good!!
I am sure it will be another excellent Flattop entry

Thanks Skipper! Ark R is now finished to all intents and purposes - I will weather her and add the air group, and I'm also STILL waiting for my pom-poms from WEM, so have used the Airfix ones for now.

Anyway, here she is, more pics in my gallery (and of course I will add her to the 'Finished' gallery too...)

I am sorry Gunny it looks like the 15th will be hard for me to make. My job and other things have conspired to rob me of my time. I will finish my Reagen but I will not seek a ribbon.

15th?
Watcha talkin bout, mate? According to the campaign rider attached to this campaign, all late starters have the opportunity to continue to build their entry's past the completion date to achieve your completion ribbon...just let me know what's going on with your build and show me that you are making progress with your build, and I'll reserve a ribbon in your name, sailor!

Must say I thought this was now open-ended to allow us stragglers to complete

Gunny, she's in the 'Finished Gallery', here you go...

You may not have spotted her next to Al's Ark (which was finished on time of course!)

Cheers Gunny

Very nice it looks too. I'm still weathering Ark, oil wash done yesterday and some (well quite a lot of actually) rust today. Think she probably looked quite battered while working in the Med. Will update photos later on

I don't think there's any such thing as an easy build when you're talking about aircraft carriers Martin - they're compex old beasts! How far along with your build are you? Karel Doormann wasn't it?

Now finished weathering Ark Royal, still have to build the air group - I am not keen on getting started with adding PE wing struts to the Swordfish! And I've still not received my pom-poms from WEM...

Sorry for the late summit, just upload the photos to flattops finished gallery, my entry was the USS BOUGE (CVE-9), she sank thirteen U-boats during Atlantic operations and awarded Presidential Units Citations during WWII. hope you like it.
