Hi all,

Here are some photos of my latest build, as my long suffering wife has the strange idea that I should be decorating the house interior I decided to hold back on a major project and go for another U-Boot from the Mirage1/400 scale range.

This time its a Type VIIB, these are really great little kits and as you can see the only modification so far is my attempt tp replicate the breakwater fitted to the side of the hull each side of the 88mm gun platform. I intend to finish it in the pre/early war paint scheme.

Thanks for looking, oh yes thanks to Vic for the photos (again)

Hi Pete

Have you made the choice of the Uboot you plan to make?

Ahoy PeteV,
The boat is looking good....I like the creative use of the ring binder.

OK , Ok

The game is up, I use Plastic U-Boots to model my range of colourful ring binders (LOL)

You must admit that it does provide a very good mounting point and colour back ground to photograph model U-Bppts against.

The model is slowly progressing as is the interior decorating of my abode, some more photos should appear later this week showing the rails on the coning tower AA platform as well as those around the 88mm gun mount, both of which are made from copper wire and are driving me blind.
