I haven't used them yet, but was aware of the company. They do a very good range of ship's fittings it seems (among many other things of course!) Useful if you're planning any level of ship scratch-building...

If you click on the staff photo, I'm the bald guy in the front row between the blonde and the brunette. The 80' ELCO and the SAMUEL B. ROBERTS are two of the kits I've designed for them. I built both display models.

:-) Funny, I was going to ask which one was Al, and he answered it before I could ask it. :-)

There are some who would suggest I'm the black furry thing off to the left of the brunette (Suzi, the owner)...

hello
they sure have a lot of interesting models, some of which you don't see every day.
I'm just wondering about the scale mentionned?
the Pt boat is scale 1/4? and the Liberty ship is 1/16? wouldn't that make them giants? Or am I looking at it the wrong way? (we have metric system and I can't figure out the inch-thing....

The scales are 1/4 inch = one foot and 1/16 inch = one foot. These translate to (respectively) 1/48 and 1/192. The PT is approximately 50,8cm long and the Liberty ship approximately 71,1cm long.

Hi Mark
Thanks for introducing this renowned brand here in MSW - good job
As for Al's look It's always nice to add a face to a callsign
The "scale issue" - this scales are the standart ship model scale used in museums and other collections (1/48, 1/96 and 1/192)... The thing is, that we (the plastic model "generation") have accepted the manufacturers new "ship scales", like 1/35, 1/72, 1/144, 1/350 and 1/700
