Hi all,

Hope the sun is shining where ever you are.

I have got it into my head to convert the ICM 1/144 kit of the type XXIII U-Boot into one of the two (I believe) that were raised and refitted for use by the Post War German Navy, the photos I have show that some time after they went into service the conning tower (or sail depending on where you are in the world) was modified and had an additional downward sloping section fitted to the rear, no problems as I have scale plans, my question plea for help is this:-

At the time of this modification were any alterations carried out to the working deck / platform of the conning tower or was it the same size and shape as the original area on a type XXIII, I have looked in vain so far for plans, drawings or photos that show this area, not even the book " Vom Original zum Modell" by E. Rossler and F. Kohle shows the tower from above on a type 240, unless single malt whiskey has had a greater effect on my eyes than I believe.

Thanks in advance

PeterV
