I mentioned in another post that I brought a few kits to my US Submarine Vets Inc. Club in Groton Ct . for review. I had the Trumpy 1/144 Seawolf, and this kit as well as a few others. This kit was judged to be excellent by a few people who would know,,They did say it was missing a few below water line details which didn't surprise them but that it looked excellent. The Trumpy kit got a few smiles. One Peanut Boat Sailor ( Jimmy Carter) who transfered to a Virgina boat when the Carter went West called the Trumpy kit a "VirginiaWolf"...... Some Virginia and some Seawolf.
That makes me think of the movie and play " Who's afraid of Virginia Wolf".. Now that's funny.

I have a plan on purchasing another Bronco kit and cutting the two kits up to build the Jimmy Carter. Of course it will only reflect the Carter's extra 100' length and topside details. The below waterline will be far from accurate but I still think that in this scale the kit will look just fine alongside my "Connecticut and other 1/350 submarine models..
Wow I think I just talked myself into doing this.. Off to the LHS..
Now watch the good guys at YMW release a "Peanut Boat" ....

Sounds like a good plan, mate, if you do decide to give it a go, keep us filled in here with your progress!
