I'm planning a mixed dio of members of 30AU's RM/RN troop arriving at Eckernforde in early '45 to find a group of Seehund moored there.

A few queries you salty sea dogs may be able to confirm

First moorings - this is the best pic I could find - they don't seem to be secured at the stern - am I right?

Markings - only one of these has a coning tower number - any idea what colour? and what it represents?

I found this on Google images

and thought that it would add a slightly different colour to one of the subs - does it have any grounding in reality?

Thanks guys!

NB has anyone got any tips for modeling barnacles and algae/seeweed on moorings/dock legs?

NBB Anyone seen a 1/35 seagull anywhere? :-)

"NB has anyone got any tips for modeling barnacles and algae/seeweed on moorings/dock legs?"

I'd be interested in that as well - that's generally missing from dirtied up corvettes!

Have you tried Britains series of farm animals?
