Hi,

I recently purchased my 2nd ICM Type XXIII with the idea of converting it to represent S170 of the post WWII West German Navy (after the conning tower was modified), however I have now gone and purchased a third kit with the view of representing all three stages of this U-Boots service life.

The help/information I require is what colours were used by the West German navy on S170 and S171, the photos I have (B&W) seem to show that during their early service life they were finished in a light grey but after the modification to the tower they appear a lot darker, well the upper surface does.
