Hello,

I saw some months back that Italeri is going to release a 1/35 scale PT boat. It's been listed for Pre-order on a few sites, but I cannot get any infor on a release date. Not even from Italeri.

Does anyone know when it's going to be released? MY apologies is this topic has been previously discuused.

Hi Steve, Welcome to Model Shipwrights, mate!
Well, my friend, yes, this subject has come up a time or two in the past few weeks, and unfortunately, we're all in the same boat (sorry, I couldn't resist! #:-) ) , basically, the final release date is still up in the air. . .I wish that I had something a little more concrete for you, but until I get a definite, I really don't know. . .mine is still on pre-order, so I'm hoping for soon too!

Thanks for the welcome and the info, Gunny.

I usually focus on armor, but I have always had a fascination with PT Boats (ever since seeing PT 109 soooo many years ago).

I'm retired Navy, but I find it odd that I don't build ship models. Haven't done one since I was 12 or 13 (47 now).

I'm dying for that Italeri kit.

Sounds good, Steve!
As soon as I find anything out, mate, I'll put er up in the NEWS. . .and, if you're interested, click on the link on my banner here for an upcoming PT-Boat campaign that you may want to sign up for. . .would be an excellent opportunity to get back in the "ship modeling swing", build a model, meet a great bunch of salts, and talk PT-Boats!
