I think that they are going to go with an improved Nimitz design for CVN-77 George Bush. They still have not settled on a design for CVN-78 yet.

I thought that the USS Bush was to be the last of the Nimitz Class? And that a totally new design for a carrier is in the works.....going back to maybe an oversized escort carrier, with an airwing of 40-50 aircraft....smaller ship, but more of them?
Or am I just dreaming here and they have decided to produce the Nimitz class out beyond the 10th ship in the USS Bush?
