I thouhgt i would post a few pics to update my San Martin build, both layers of hull planking have been finished, most of the railings and posts, about half of the trim pieces have been installed as well as the bow spirit , i think its really starting to take shape now. Any and all comments welcome as always.

Thanks Kenny, she is the San Martin 1/90 scale double plank on hull kit made by OcCre a new Spanish company, from the build so far this company produces a very nice kit good detail and quality materials, next more work on the trim pieces and than some mast work.

Aye, looks GREAT thus far, mate! There's nothing like the sleek, fine lines of an old Galleon, made from wood and cloth, just like the real one, eh? Do keep us updated, RV, I really enjoy your builds!

Hi Alan and thanks, i do have a few tips for working with wood i like to cut all my parts a little to big than you can sand the extra down for a tight fit, also keep all your scraps you may need them for later, i like to fill my seams with the sanding dust and a wood glue mix its a much better color match than plastic wood filler. good luck with build and post some pics i would like to see them.

Hi RV,

Haven't bumped into you for a long time. How are you?

Like what you've done so far and knowing you I'm sure it will look as good if not better than the picture.

Looking forward to the next instalment.

All the best

Vic

Hi Rv,

Thanks for that, I'll keep it in mind when I get around to the kit.

No problem Alan if you have any question please ask, Nice to hear from you to Vic i am always around but some of these builds like this ship prove to be a huge amount of work this sometimes accounts for my lack of posting more often.

She's looking fine mate. Give me a fine ship and star to sail her by.
