Im planing to build Big E from 42 era! 1/350 scale,
and i have a question,
Which Trumpeter carrier, the Yorktown or Hornet is the easyest to convert into Big E.
Im in the begining of the proces, and soon i will start to colect reference and photo material!

The easier of the two is the Hornet, since the Yorktown kit is of the Essex class rather than the Yorktown class. You should also consider using the Nautilus Models Yorktown conversion for this, since it properly backdated the Hornet to the Yorktown/Enterprise island, and has the necessary parts for this work.
