Greeting all,

I got some U models figures this week for the 2nd Part of the RN LCM Crew.

The Skipper figure is a very stick like offering. He has been sculpted for use in the wheelhouse door way and as such has limited use although if you changed his head and added a boot hook or something to his left hand he could also double as a crewman.

I re-worked his legs, arms, upper body and shoulders to fatten him up a bit and added some sea boots to fit the part better.

The 2nd figure is RN Sailor No 3, the latest one, and he is, I think, a really nice figure in an interesting style of dress. Only observation is that he comes with his head moulded on. You get the end of the book hook so need to make a pole but I really like him with his jumper, and with the life belt.

Anyway here's some pics:

I also got some life jackets for the LCP (R) which are excellent and some additional Life Preservers all nicely moulded with good detail - more later.

Both figures I hope will make a nice addition to the crew.

Those of you with a keen eye will notice I've re-painted the hull and lost that streaky look. The boat is now 'cleaner' and with a bit less damage.

I'll re-post some updates later in the week when I have finished this round of updates and additions

Cheers

Nice looking figgies, Alan, and look good on the vessel!

I thought that I was seeing a different boat!
What prompted you to clean it up a bit, Al?

Hi Gunny,

The original boat turned out much darker than I intended and also had a very streaky look about it. I also thought there was perhaps a bit too much damage for a boat in 'home waters' , so that plus some feedback I got prompted me to freshen her up a bit, mainly just on the grey on the hull sides.

I'm workrking on some additonal crew for the other boats and some stores and stuff. When I get them done (LOL, LOL) I'll post some pictures of the efforts so far.

U models have some really nice AM stuff. The life jackets are very impressive and I got some bollards for the top of the pier which I haven't started work on yet - no hurry there.

Cheers

Al
