Hi Steve,

Picked up the same link. This should be an awesome craft :-) :-) :-) .

Just measured a shelf where it might live :-) :-) :-) .

Sounds brilliant.

10 out of 10 Italeri, if it's half as good as it sounds it will still be brilliant.

I really hope they continue with their 1/35 small boat line of kits.

Cheers

Al

Hi Al,

I'm already chomping at the bit over this kit. Can't wait. Trying to figure out if I want to put this beast in a dio or just display it.

Hi Steve,

Hard decision, either way it will look massive. Don't know if it's the correct type of boat but the old John Wayne movie comes to mind :-) :-)

Verlinden still have their US Navy Diver and with the U Models Crew and a few mechanics............. :-) :-) :-) :-) plans are already forming :-) :-)

Of course you could build it for display and enjoy it while you build the dio, well for several years at least in my case :-) :-) :-) .

Now if they follow this up with a small Mk 3 LCT ....... :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

I better start saving.

Cheers

Oh, the possibilities....

I was thinking of using the LCM crew that some manufacturer put out for a start. For the gun crews, I'm probably going to have to modify some armor types.

I want to show the boat in action, possibly as providing gun fire support, as was shown in the movie, PT 109. That means cutting the boat down to a waterline build.

Hi Steve,

Re the gun crews, that's a good opporutinity for some AM manufacturer. Accurate Armour already do a 20mm cannon but no crew.

The armament sounds great and if Italeri issue the 40mm boffers as a separtate kit they will double up as the ground based version is long overdue.

Hi Rodolphe!!!!!!!!! :-) :-) :-) New figure opportunities.

I'll have to look into the history and service of the boat a bit more and think thought the possibilities.

I'm currently drooling over pictures LCT Mk 1's LOL, LOL, seems just right for a small boat, the Mk 4 and 5 are just too big and cost a bit tooooooo much for my pocket.

I hope this boat is a seller for them, more chance of something else later :-) :-)

Perhaps Italeri will offer a crew with the boat?? Trumpeter and I think Warrior have some figures that might be suitable for an action setting.

All round this year it's been a good one for the Allies.

Cheers

The Warriors LCVP crew are great additions for the PT boat. There may be a few additions. Yeah, it'd be great t ohave some crewmen included and that just may happen. I'm looking forward to this big beauty.

Man, I wish (snivelling here) they'd consider doing the 78' Higgins PT. Gotta admit, the ELCO is gonna be a beaut, though. Mac, I think you might have something huge to add to Pier 51.

Hi Dave,

I'd have to extend the Pier again to fit this beauty in LOL, LOL.

Happy Days.
