Ahoy, mates!
Listen, not sure if you may have seen this or not, but here is a link to a post from the "Buy Sale Trade" Forums that definitely caught my attention, a welcome looking title!

Looks to be a thesis of converting scale plans into a model building plan or blueprint, and then turning these into accurate patterns from your blueprints in 3D! How many ship plans have you looked at and wished that you could easily convert the scale into a usable pattern? (Oh, my list would be quite extensive! )

Thanks for sharing..... now that is going to be some very interesting reading.

I have always wondered about some of the aspects of 3D design and model
renditions.
