The year was 1907 and the following facts and events may assist everyone in putting this era into perspective:

1.The United States President was Theodore Roosevelt
2.The Unites Sates Vice President was Charles W. Fairbank
3.The United States Population was 87,008,000
4.The United States motorcar production was 43,000 for that year
5.The First Native American was voted into the US Senate
6.There was the “Panic of 1907” for the financial markets and a stockmarket hiccup
7.The Indian Territory and Oklahoma Territory combined to become Oklahoma and the 46th State
8.In New York the most common form of urban transport was the “electric trolley car”
9.The first cabs with meters were used in London
10.James Spangler invented the Hoover vacuum cleaner
11.Korea became a protectorate of Japan
12.Finally (tongue firmly in cheek) the most globally significant event of that year - New Zealand became a Dominion.

Please note that this intended merely as a basic overview of 1907 and not as an exhaustive historical definition of that year and its events.
