Hi Ron!

This new product is basically a hand drill, (I use a pin vise personally), which is used in conjunction with a Dremel quick action drill chuck (not included!), to facilitate an easier way to use a hand drill when modeling.

So actually, yes, you could use it for drilling out gun barrels, and also any other precision hand drilling that you may need to do. I look at it as an improvement on an old idea, IMHO. . .
