Guy's just looking at this and wondering if you think this is worth it?
PE is a bit on the darkside for me but I can see the need for railings and all other ship related items.

Ola' Luciano!
Worth it?
I'll tell ya what, mate, before any of the "bender type" PE tools surfaced in the modeling world, working with the stuff drove me nuts because my eyes aren't the best. . .NOW, with a choice of some very good options on the market, I can not only successfully bend PE and flat stock accurately and easily, I can also have a great time doing it!
I myself use two different manufactured brands of PE benders, The "Hold-n-Fold" for really tight and tiny bends, and the "Fender Bender" for all others. . .if you poke around the "Reviews" sections of the Kitmaker Network, you'll find lots of opinions of many PE bending tools on the market today.
So essentially, my friend, IMHO, yes, the tool is Definately worth it in my case! It's best to read about all of the options available, ask other modelers opinions, and then make a choice of your own. . .hope this helps ya out some, mate!
Cheers,
~Gunny

Thanks Gunny,
I will look around, I'm using a cheap hand held thing at the moment and thought that with all the ships that seem to be finding their way into the stash at the moment I would better look into one of these etch bender things.

Luciano, this is what I use. For me, it's perfect for 1/700 scale and the few aircraft I do.

Hi Luciano
I have an Etchmate and before that I used flat pliers.
Still use both, but the etchmate is a precision tool (multi faceted) - I am happy with the investment, and it really compensates when working with the so much delicate 1/700 brass or steel PE.
I would say that it's a good investment, independent on the brand you choose.
Thanks Mark and Jim Rae for sharing
