Ahoy there Gator

To be honest I got very little done with the very busy time of the year. With social and family obligations modelling is a little on the back burner at the moment.

I did however clean up my workbench and peruse the Isuzu briefly.

Regards

Hey Gator!
I found about 35 minutes of free time this weekend to do a little conning tower repair and restitution on my DDD2 entry, in between pre-holiday festivities, that is!

Greetings all,

Finished the second Bedford for Pier 51, crew are laid out and awaiting some attention and paint and new heads that arrived today.

Opened the box on the AA crates which are massive and will work really well with the pier. More wood lol, lol, but more sanding and cutting resin - weep, weep weep.

Shipping stencils arrived and should finish off the trucks nicely and some German Prisoners that will be off loading from the LCM, plus German Mechanics that I can convert to workmen/sailors.

A mans work is never done lol, lol.

Cheers

Al

Ps - Kenny cleats are on their way.

Well I got some work done on the ship for my grandfathers dio.
The sides of the bridge were painted to check for defects. Defects fixed. And the new coat looks like I got them all.

That's cool guys. Well, Saturday was the build day for me. I got the LCC painted and weathered. And the base ready. I need to finish the tarps over the MG mounts and get the life preservers finished. All I need now is some rope fenders.

I started on my Pearl Harbor Akagi dio. I'm doing Lt Cmdr Shigeru Itaya's Zeke ready for take off in 1/48 scale. My PE came in but no pilot yet. I've got an 8" scetion fo flight deck ready for the bird and the fuselage is painted. I'll be able to get back to it this weekend.

Well, between end of year dead lines at work...translation = lots of extra hours and social functions and being newly engaged, all of my spare time is pretty much accounted for. In other words no modeling done. Reporting for punishment sir.....you can't take away my pay but you can certainly take away a stripe!!! :-) :-)
And with a pending wedding there is going to be some moving and re-organizing going on, so I figure i will be out of commision for a while. Won't stop me from visiting my favorite forums though....

Congrats mate! And by all means, keep visiting. A little virtual modeling never hurt anyone.

Hi Kenny, no modelling carried out this weekend was to busy transfering files between pc's old to new. Also since the new one is so much better I had to have a go at some of those games I've got to see if it does make any differnces

But the parts I ordered from WEM for the Ariadne arrived, replacement 25' motor boat, 27' whalers and twin 20mm powered mounts. Now also in the parcel was my nice new kit from Kombrig the HMS Kent 1903 armoured cruiser - I so want to start this but I will wait until I have completed the Ariadne

If I get the time over Christmas I will try and do an in-box review of HMS Kent (very nice)

Ciao
Luciano
