Ahoy Shipmates

Have you got some New Years Modelling Resolutions sorted out yet?

Mine in general terms is to embark on construction and not kit collecting. LOL

More specifically I am setting in place some prompting systems I will see how they go after all this is a hobby not a job or a chore. Really my ideas are more time management tools than anything. I will see how they go and let you know.

Regards

Sean

Well Sean, I think we're ALL guilty of kit collecting as well! Hey, all modelers need a nice cache of kits for selection, right!!??

But seriously mate, I do know what you mean. . .I spend WAY too much time sometimes behind the laptop on my bench instead of the current modeling projects (which just keep piling up! ), but I just try to keep a proper perspective and make time for everything. . .good question, by the way!

Keep Modeling!

My resolution is the same as it was last year, and will probably have the same results. My goal is to build more models. I want to begin by finishing up those I've already started. My plan is for this weekend to take inventory of what kits I've got lying half finished, what they need to have done to them to finish them, and make sure I've got all the supplies needed to complete them. Then I want to tear into them one at a time. As a reward I'm going to offer myself something special, like maybe the Trumpeter Hood, as incentive. Once I finish the kits I've started I want to just live by the creed one of the guys mentioned at the last modeling meeting I went to. "Just get on you butt and BUILD models."

I too need to do some time management. Things got all jumbled up the second half of this year. I need to make time to relax and build models because it's fun and relaxing.
