karl, thanks for the nice words...
i already painted the flood hole with mixture of black + dark grey...
u dont need a real steady hand to to it... it only require 30 minutes to complete the whole holes...

Very good work, i follow your steps beacuse i am going to make the uboot.
But i have a question. The colour of the deck is wooden brown ?????
I think that the decks were wooden. Is that correct ???

Ahoy Dimitrios,

Yes you are correct....there decks were made of wood...specifically teak.
I believe that it may have changed as the war progress due to lack of
resources.

Now for the color, the wooden decks were treated with a preservative to
protect the decks from the elements. When freshly applied, this would
have given the decks a dark black/gray look but some of the more natural
wood color may have showed in areas of heavy traffic.
