Ahoy mates! I just heard from my buddy who was kind enough to transport my models home from the local contest. My IJNS Kongo took 1st in category, Best Ship and Best World War 2 Ship. My LCC took 1st in category, competing against a nice 1/350 Hood all decked out with PE. And my USS Baton Rouge took 1st in category. Thanks guys for all you input and help with these projects. I couldn't have done it without y'all's support.
Kenny

Very hearty Congratulations and Well Done.
I'm curious, you say your friend had to bring them back? I take it that you weren't able to attend, or at least stay, for the show?

Let me see what I can do. I didn't take any photos myself. It was a father and son outing. We left early because the little guy wasn't feeling good - he's cutting teeth. I did manage to pick up a Tamiya 1/700 Hood for $10 and a 1/35 Dragon Sturmboot before we left.

Well that's pretty cool, congratulations Kenny
I also vote for a photo coverage!
If you decide to do that Sturmboot Dragon thing and find some reference I don't have (which means all reference as I don't have any!) feel free to PM

Ahoy Rodger. The show was 10 minutes from my house. Ian and I were there for about 2 hours, and then we went home. I knew that was a possiblity, so I planned for it.

I'm working on that. I didn't take any, but I have plenty of friends that did.

Tom, photos are on the way. A buddy of mine is emailing them to me.
Dave, Ian's doing great. He came thru the surgery with flying colors. We go tomorrow to get the last of the stitches out. With this surgery, he is officiall the million dollar baby. This 5 day stay finished off the $1,000,000 lifetime max on his policy. Renee's insurance picked him up effective Jan 1.
