1:72 depth charges

Does anyone know where I can get 1:72 depth charges?

I want to add them to a 1:72 Sunderland aircraft (RCAF) that attacked U-625.

No manufacturers that I know of make these, at least not in 1/72. You may need to scratchbuild them.

Looking at this picture:


it looks like a regular depth charge barell with a bomb tail, so you might be able to modify a WW2 bomb kit easier, since these are more available.

However, White ensign models (item# 7207) makes a photo etch depth charge compartment detail set.

Schatten Modelbau does very nice 1/72 German depth charges. Probably would be a great place to start. I got mine from http://www.pdi-model-supplies.com/. in the U.K

There are a few depth charges, I think four, included in Revell's 1/72 s-100 with flak armament (not the older kit without flak)
