Gunny, did you get anything done at the bench? It's part of my job to keep you focused.
Friday and Saturday Ian and I rebuilt a display case and did some cleaning and organizing in the hobby room. Yesterday, Renee and Ian took me out to eat for the ole' b-day and got me a couple of presents for the hobby room. I'll be back at the bench tomorrow. We're off for Mardi Gras.

Modeling all I did was get some more work done on my Zuikaku.

Also got some work done on the 1/1 tractor. The foreword/reverse leaver is no longer a pair of vicegrips attached directly to the

EDIT: And happy belated birthday Kenny.

Happy Birthday, ya old coot!
Actually, yes I did, ma friend. . .I'm just about done with my DDD2 entry, and I've even started adding the PE additions to my Leyte entry! I'll hopefully be putting up some pics of both very soon!
Have fun at Mardi, mate, Laissez les bon temps rouler ! Ahh, I can smell da Maque Chou and Sauce Piquante now!!!
Cheers,

interesting i don't know
This small boat was part of Amiral Makarov flotilla that destoyed quite a few Turkish ships in 1877 using some pole mines! The first big success of improvised PT boats.
Now it lies on the shore of the Black Sea in the early 19-twenties.
As the boat is partially destroyed i had to build it the old way, with balsa etc..
thanks for the interest

Jean-Bernard, mon ami, you're a very humble artist!

Interesting, for sure! Where do you get your ideas, mate?
Is this going to be another of your spectacular dios, and if so, you are planning on giving us a feature here at MSW now aren't you?!?
Please keep us updated with your work, JB, I truly admire your talents!
Cheers,

A couple of things:
To Kenny: Happy (late!) Birthday!!!
To Jean-Bernard: I apologise for this comment (the best I could figure out from only one photo!) but the boy is fishing, right? If so, shouldn't he be on a more confortable position?
To Mark: Let's finish that DDD2 entry mate!

It's good to see that you are working on ship models

well, it won't be really spectacular, it is going to be a piece of cake to build compared to the previous one. Furthermore, the boat is only a part of the dio -most efforts are focused on the groundwork and the kid, so i suppose again hfm would be more appropirate -but thanks for the offering!!
