Hi All,

is there any news about some correct aftermarket decals fot the Italeri PT? Would be nice if someone would make them so I could finishmy kit. Apparantly the ones in the kit have the black part on the wrong side of the number.

never being one to miss an opportunity, does anyone know of any 1/35 decals for the RN or RN vehicles? I'm after the white RN letters that you see on the side doors of trucks.

Hi Kenny,

thanks a lot for the offer, would it even be possible to cut a mask of a two tone number? Anyways, it's the "596" that is wrong. There is one big number on the stern, each digit is 13 mm tall and 8 mm wide, the shade is 1 mm thick so the size overall is 14 mm by 9 mm. The smaller numbers are exactly half the size of this big number, 2 of them are on the port and 2 are on the starboard side.

Maybe you can start your own AM business?

I feel rather stupid right now

First I have to make a correction: there is 1 big number on the stern, and there are in total 5 small numbers. The black shade should always be on the right side and on the bottom side.

For some strange reason Italeri made the shades for some numbers top and right and for some top and left.

By the way, they also messed up the USA flag, the stars are all in a nice grid pattern but each "row" should be shifted a bit. There are now 48 starts on the flag. I guess some states have joined Canada or Mexico according to Italeri.

Could you do RN marking for LCs in1/35? I had a real problem marking all the British Boats and that might be worth investigating.

Actually during WW2 there were 48 states.

As far as the flag goes, Alaska and Hawaii were only territories during WW2, not states.

Archer Fine Transfers just came out with two different sets of PT Boat markings. :-)

when it comes to decals this big I prefer masks When used the result looks like the real thing and no silvering ( I really had that )

Lets's all make a bet when the first overpriced PE set comes out. I bet Eduard is the first and it includes torpedo's which you have to roll and glue from 76 different parts :-) :-) :-)

I hope I have my kit is finished before that happens because I even think I would actually buy a set like that

It should Ed. You mask went out today. Sorry for the delay. I had problems cutting the numbers and I wasn't going to send them out until they were right.
