What would be a good first WWII ship kit for me to build?
I have some experience with Planes and armor.

Thanks!

I am also a armor/plane guy, I found the best way to start of is to try a submarine of some sorts, they are good practice

You didn't say what scale you want to build, but if it's 1:350, five years ago I would have said any of the Tamiya range. Now there are so many great kits out there, I personally would be hard pressed to suggest one in particular. But apart from my dislike of Tamiya for abandoning 1:350 builders, they are still a very good starting point. Excellent fit, generally precise, great instructions and plenty of outstanding photo-etch sets available. Now if you like US flattops, Trumpeter have that market covered along with some other great subjects. Hasegawa have now entered the 'shooting match' with a couple of very nice kits as well.
Set your budget, look around, pick your subject and have fun building!

I would say get what interests you. Subs are very easy, but if you're not interested in the subject you may not find them any fun and you might not want to do ships again. I always think it's best to build what you like. Do you have any particular types of ships you're really into?

Thanks for all of the suggestions!. I'm not sure if I could afford a 1/350 scale right now.
I would like to do a flattop or maybe a battleship or even a PT. I just can't make up my mind.

Take a look at reviews...
There you can also check the amount of parts, price and your likes

Hope this helps
