While picking up my Hasegawa SOYA on friday from the Jadar model shop in Warsaw I JUST happened to notice a few new arrivals.Among them were 5 japanese pre-dreadnoughts in 1/700th by a company i was not aware of before,Sealsmodels of japan.
The kits included an exquisite MIKASA but the downside was the price.
They cost the same as the SOYA! which here in Poland is more expensive than the new huge Italeri Torpedo boat?
Somebody somewhere cleaning up on mark-ups again I suppose.
Anyway if you come across these ships, check them out.beautiful mouldings and very detailed for 1/700th.

Hi Jim!

Congratulations on the SOYA purchase, mate...what do you think of the kit? I absolutely LOVE the bugger, and I can't wait to get building on it...
Sealsmodels do make some very nice kits, I do agree, mate...none of my LHS carry the brand, but they are available at some of the on-line HS...
