Ahoy, mates!

A really easy question this time, and be honest!

Does this include all kits or just ship kits?

I clicked on Stopped Counting for the entire stash.
For ships, not that many, maybe 10 total.

I chose "stopped counting" for my entire stash. But as far as ships goes, I think it is in the neighborhood of 20.

I've decided to limit my kit buying so I can actually focus on building existing ones without them (and their aftermarket parts) becoming totally obsolete, but now I am buying a number of aftermarket for existing kits, some of which could be considered kits in themselves. For instance, do I count a Tamiya VW Beetle which I will use in a diorama (which again, in itself could be considered a kit since it has a base, figures, tools, parts, etc.)?

If we take the traditional meaning of a kit, I have 1 ship, 3 submarines and about 5-6 planes.

PS. Don't ask me how many paints I stashed though..... I'm gonna hate myself when they start going bad.

Hey, now you're gettin' personal!

Shoot, I don't know. I'd have to count. Man, now you're makin' me think. I'm at work, my brain will explode!

Hmmm... that means more accounting. Kits SWMBO knows about, maybe 30, kits she doesn't know about, 50-100.

Actually I didn't see the "I've stopped counting" button, so I picked 50-100.

As far as ships, less than 10.

Hi

I am like Ion slowing the purchasing (investing I call it) down.

I have a spreadsheet (for my eyes only) sorted out with all the full details of my kit collection. Quantifying it has helped me slow up the spending.

Regards

If "unbuilt" means no parts separated from sprues yet, that may drop my number below 50. If "unbuilt" means "nonfinished" whether still in the box or on the workbench already, then my number will be above 50. How about the unbuilt to finished kits ratio? My stash may not be significant, amount wise, compare to others. But my unbuilt to finished ratio is so high that I need to cover my face.

Ahoy all,

I have slung a hammock between 2 walls, so that I can start stacking
on the floor...... :-)

On a more serious note......over one hundred.

Good point Kenny,
I guess if I just count the multiples of each jeep, 3/4 ton, 21/2, etc, it becomes a much more manageable "way over 100", and "stopped counting long ago" :-)

I sort of worked out a timeline a few months ago and if I'd stopped buying anymore kits then, and continued building everyday, I would have had to live to a 178 years old to finish the lot. But alas, I didn't stop buying.........
