Hi Al,
Firstly, it sounds like a great idea...unfortunately i don't have the fine hands (or sculpting skills) to take part !
I do however know someone who could help you out,if not, at least give you some inspiration...If you look on this link HERE to the Benelux site, one of the blokes Guygantic has made a seagull for his campaign diorama.
Guy is not just a talented modellor,he's a dab hand at sculpting.
Anyways,worth checking out

Yip, I saw Guy's excellent bird and of course you're own frightened goose. Posted this last night over a glass or two of wine. Seemed like a good idea at the time lol, lol.
Don't know if anyone one will bother or not. I have some good references and intend to make a few as I go along as there is always a bit of milliput that goes into the bin.
I'll see if anyone showes any interest, if not, no worries as I have them on the long list of things to do.
