Howdy Gunny

Many thx for taking the time to post this bit of News for the MSW side of Armorama. And since this "bit of news" hits on a somewhat personal level, I feel compelled to share some information on this particular company, and more importantly, on one of it's principals if I may?

Having lived in the town that Loose Cannon Productions West has listed as it's headquarters, I have frequented Colpar Hobbies in Aurora, Co. and known the good Mr. Hugh Letterly for many years.
I have also had the good fortune to have been somewhat 'privy' to the vast amount of time that my friend Hugh spent over those years putting together all of the deep research necessary to get all of the products that Loose Cannon Productions offers just right.
I have spent many a weekend day while browsing the shelves of Colpar Hobbies discussing the nuances of ships, ship building, and scratchbuilding techniques with Hugh Letterly. He is a big, friendly, honest, and supportive gentlemen of the 'old school' way of thinking {hope he doesn't sock me in the eye for the "old" comment } Add to that his almost encyclopedic knowledge of all things SHIP oriented, and you have a company run by someone you can not only trust to 'get it right', but to also get you what you want at a fair price.
And IMHO, you can't ask for any more than that!!

I am personally very happy to see Loose Cannon Productions getting some attention here at Model Ship Wrights, and highly recommend doing business with them. Aside from the fact that they mainly focus on the smaller, 1/700th scale offerings {this is another friendly 'jab' at my frind Hugh......you know hat I'm talkin' about, right Hugh? }, you will find that all of their products are well reserched, and well rendered.

Oh, and just for the record. I have received absolutely no compensation from Loose Cannon Productions for my sparkling review. Although.......Hugh, if ya wanna send me a 'fiver'..........

I can add a little more to Gordons comments (also haven't received anything from Loose Canon either!):
Although I have known the brand for years, only at Telford I got the hands on something produced by Loose Canon. I got the hands on the Little Combatents box and bought it on the spot! Interesting subjects (to say the least!!), excellent casting and excellent level of detail for such small ships!
Small history is provided for each of the Vessels, (PGM, SC and Higgins) as well as a construction diagram.
I became fan of Loose Canon with that little box!
Can only say: Highly Recommended!

I have already done precisely that Rui I have been in contact with my friend Hugh and pointed him at the site so he could see what has been written about his fine company.
With any luck, he might even stop by and say "HI!"
I just need to figure out how to send him the link.............
