Ahoy Matt!

There are some impressive R/C submarines on the market, most witha hefty price...never seen any bona-fide plans for sale, though...try a Google search, you'll hit a few, for sure.
Happy Hunting,

hey, that's my hobby !

there are no RTR RC kits on the market.
as fas as I know, there is a RTR toy from Graupner,
another from Nikko, and a few motorized kits
from Academy. none is an VII-a
I seem to remember academy having a VII-c,
although barely recognizable

In my view, for a kitbuilder it is perhaps interesting
to R/C the Revell VIIc (1/72) as a surface runner
(no diving...). two motors and a rudder and voila !

otherwise, visit and learn from http://www.subcommittee.com
the average "kit" built there is about 1000,- usd.
might not be what you are after...

That's just too cool. I built the Andrea Miniatures sub on commission for a guy. Wanted me to make it r/c, but I was able to talk him out of it. The thing weighed 12-15 pounds before hand. And it was extremely top heavy. I would have hated to see something that expensive go to the bottom on its maiden voyage. The deck plates were PE brass so sealing it all up would have been a major undertaking. He was extremely pleased with the end result and I was happy to get it out of my work room. 77.5" takes up a lot of space! "Q"
