Ahoy, mates!
This new survey asks simply, "What is your MOST favorite ship kit manufacturer?"
Quite obviously, we couldn't list all of them due to page limitations, so we've provided an "Other" option for you if necessary, and you're more than welcome (Please?!) to tell us who and why in this thread!
Lets have an active discussion and participation!!!

Wow. This is a hard one. Tamiya and Hasegawa have a large selection but Dragon and Trumpter are really offering alot of bang for the buck in 1/700.

Why are no resin manufacturers included? I can think of at least three that make more ship models than any of these companies.

For sure, Gator!
And then there are all the resin guys out there, pumping out the quality kits. . . it IS a hard decision!

Very hard this one, really could have voted for multiple manufacturers but did settle for one in the end.

Apart from the excellent 1:350 resin kits from YMW's and ISW, my absolute favourite for plastic is Trumpeter. Tamiya were great when they released their 1:350 range, but now they don't give a damn, just re- releasing the same 8 reboxed and repriced subjects. Trumpeter on the other hand are quite inovative ( yes, I know there are a lot of Essex carriers) and now seem to be swayed by public opinion in what is produced. It's probably because of Trumpeter's success that Aoshima, Hasegawa and DML ( although DML have had a couple of previous releases) are now sticking their toes in the 1:350 pond.

This was hard. I love Tamiya, mainly because that's what I've actually made, and they are pretty much shake n bake. I also like Airfix, because they had the good sense to make British ships, although of course they had to make them in a scale nobody else used. Finally though I had to go with Trumpeter for one reason, HMS Hood. Even though I haven't gotten it yet just knowing she's out there puts Trumpy over the top. They can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned. DML is coming up fast on the outside though. Any maker that would have a great model of the Arizona, and then change to represent a later version of the Pennsylvania is pretty high in my book.

Well I don’t think I could really cast a volt in this one.
The only company I have built more then 1 ship from is Revell and I really wouldn’t call them the best ships.
So far the best ship kit I have is the Butler class kit from Skywave. Its got great detail and fit, just a little bit on the expensive side. Of course I really cant judge a company by just one kit.
