Ahoy Mates!
I have a quick announcement for all Kitmaker network members, and a unique opportunity to both contribute to our site(s) and have a go at winning some fantastic prizes!
We will soon be launching the KitMaker Content Contest , 2007, here at the KitMaker Network, and quite simply, this is going to be a fun contest for all members to submit articles, reviews, features, and OD's to the network, and the best submissions will be judged and awarded justly.
This contest will be Network wide, including Armorama, Aeroscale, ModelGeek, and MSW, respectively. Historicus Forma will be running their own contest in a different "Anniversary" style format.
We have some great prizes and sponsors lined up thus far, and if you are a vendor and would like to sponsor this contest with additional prize donations, please contact me by follwing the link below.
And if you are a site member, sharpen up your pencils, and start getting your best ideas together for your submissions! Submitting to the site is both rewarding, and helpful, and is a great way to share your knowledge with our modeling community, worldwide, (and have alot of fun, too!)
Complete details, guidelines, and prize listings will be posted soon, so watch the forums!
Lets all have FUN with this, mates!

Mark,
I have never tried writing an article for a web site (or any one else except for college stuff) so I'm excited about trying this out. Has there been any start date decided yet? Or maybe I should say turn in date? I'm sure you'll get back to us on the requirements of the article but .....I know this is a silly question....but we can start on this now and just save it for when we need to turn it in?
Thanks,
Frank

Thats great news, Frank , I'm happy to hear that you'll be participating...I started out here at KitMaker by submitting independent reviews at Armorama, and personally, I find the overall experience quite exciting...you get the chance to have YOUR work published, and available 24-7 worldwide, with the hopes that modelers somewhere, are getting some use out of your words...pretty cool, IMHO...anyways, we're shooting for a mid May start date, Jim S. is ironing out some things that only he can take care of, and as soon as he wraps up, we'll be rolling.
In a nutshell, we'll be accepting reviews, how-to features, articles, and photo-walk-arounds, and of course, the best submissions will be chosen as the winner, although even if you're not picked as the best, there's still a great chance that your submission will be published, as long as it's up to snuff...take a look at the features, and reviews of each site, and you'll see many fine examples of good, publishable material...and the prizes that we have lined up so far are fantastic, and we're adding more, as the days go on...a complete listing, along with the guidelines, will be posted soon.
So tell me, what are you thinking about doing?

Gunny,
So far I'm thinking of doing a review of the British Vosper or the S-100 both are by revell and in 1/72 scale. Their part of the campaign that I'm in (my first) so I thought I would give it a try.

Good choice!
If you want, you could start with an "inbox style" review of one (or both:) ), and then document your build with text and photos, and then write up a "built style" feature/review, to compare your early findings, with the final result...
