These two postcards shown here were mailed together and picture the USS Connecticut and the USS Ohio anchored off Santa Cruz and dated May 5th.

The text of the message on the backs include:
"There during the Fleet Festivities - saw the 16 arrive and anchor - perfectly beautiful when illuminated at night with search lights playing. It was one round of going from Saturday a.m. until Tuesday p.m. when they silently sailed away, this last impressed me more share anything else I think."
This card shows the Casino at Santa Cruz with a 'Welcome the Fleet' foldout of the ships of the battle fleet.
The next instalment will be the arrival in San Francisco.
