That was some article. A very sad time in history but. The victims and the survivors will always be remembered.

I was wracking my brain trying to remember what was happening in 1937. This is one of those things that I'd best 99% couldn't name the date, but as soon as they see the news reel or here the commentary they know what it is.

Since it happened here in Joisey, it's been pretty well covered by the local news channel. Each year they still hold a memorial service down in Lakehurst. This year the local news channel had one of the survivors on, who was 17 at the time.
