Ahoy mates!
I see some busy little shipwrights on the forums this morning.
How about the rest of our merry little crew. What did everyone do this weekend?

Not a piece of plastic was touched by my fingers, unfortunately...unless you count my laptop keys...

I tried my hand for the first time at modeling water. Plaque one I just took some clear caulk, the kind in a tube, applied it to a small wood base I had laying around, and molded some wave action. Once it dried I then painted it blue, with white dry brushing. It came out pretty good. My wife even complimented me on it. Plaque two I did basically the same thing, but this one I mounted my Tatsuta on the base first, and I'm trying to paint two torpedo tracks heading toward her. Plaque three I first put down a layer of Celuclay on the plaque, then painted that blue before adding the caulk. I then mounted my Chokai on it. That one I added a much heavier layer of caulk to, and it's still drying. Once it's dried I'll paint it and plaque two and take pictures to show you.

Busy undeed!
The North Olympic Peninsula IPMS group at Pt Townsend, WA is having their big show on 16 June, and that's hardly a month away. Last year's get-together was a real great time, so I want to have a good presence for this year's deal.
They have a Korean War theme this time. In addition to the AGR for the SOTQ, I'm working on a Korean vintage 1/700 Fletcher DDE conversion for their show, and a truck and a dragster. Will it all get finished? Hah! Danged unlikely, but it will guarantee that the weeds grow strong and healthy for a few more weeks, anyway.
Best regards,
Rick

hey all,
I spent the weekend working on my schnellboot S-100. Found out it's not real easy to drill out the torpedo doors (found out what a hobby knife can do to a index finger......doooop..LOL). Got some quality time modeling even after having quality time wife the family, all around great weekend in Michigan.

Sorry Frank. Bodily injury while modeling is my job here at MSW. You'll have to find something else.

Not a dang thing. I didn’t even open my boxes this weekend or today. Very odd for me.
I copy that.
Wait. Is that even possible?
I didn’t know your area of “expertise” covered knives as well.

Cut a slice off my ring finger while recooping from the table saw.
