This is especially dangerous for USN ships as they traditionally tended to be top heavy.
BTW, I just had to find out which USS Frederick this was. She was a armored cruiser originally named USS Maryland but was renamed. I'm guessing she changed names either due to states names being reserved for battleships or because Maryland was due to be used as a battleship name.

This is another reason I became a ground pounder. Water, ice, and the ability of "wildspear" to sink in any water kept me from going Navy.....lol!!

Could you imagine having to try and chisel that off? Okay boys give up all your hair dryers, come on, we have got to get rid of all this ice!!! I would definitely hate to do that job!
