Hi!

I just bought 1/72 resin kit of Kaiten 1 - I have never done nothing like this, but shopkeeper in my hobbyshop convinced me to give it a try. Do you know where to get some reference pics/drawings of this cute little one?

Thanks, Matous

Ahoy, Matous!
Welcome to Model Shipwrights, mate!

I'm assuming you're reffering to FineMolds Kaiten, my friend, and unfortunately, I haven't built this little bugger...BUT, we do have a resident midget sub builder/lover extraordinaire here on staff, none other but Rui Matos (Skipper), and I bet he could give you some insight! Give him a chance, he'll pick up on this thread!
In the meantime, welcome aboard again, hope to see you around!

Here's some pics that I found...Kaiten

And More!

And even MORE!

Cheers,
~Gunny

Welcome aboard Matous!

I guess that you have acquired Chorozsy Modelbuds Kaiten, right?
Well, I haven't built that one but I have built the above mentioned by Mark (FineMolds) in 1/72 and another in resin by long gone Pacific Monograph 35th Division.
Since I don't know the CM model I can't give you any advice, but feel free to ask any question as you have any doubts during the building and painting process

And here's my own Kaiten (1/35)

keep safe,
Skipper

Well, it is not Finemolds nor Chorozsy Modelbuds Kaiten. It is made by czech company named Kora, here is the cover art, beside other items rhey produce (sorry, it is in czech...):

Thanks for links, some I have found before, some are new to me. Anyhow, I managed to get day off tomorrow, so I will start to explore new ground for my hobby by building this one.

Happy modeling, mat.

Hi Matous

I also have the Kora kaiten I/II and also the Type IV model (I have completely forgotten about it)!
They are good models and relatively easy to build - if there's anything I can do to help, please ask!!
