I was searching for "stuff" to put on the dock in my PT Boat Diorama and I stumbled across a link on Modelshipwrights for GC Laser.
The GC Laser Company was formed in 2003, and specializes in laser-cut micro-plywood railroad structures and detailed kits. In 2007 GC Laser introduced a military line in 35th scale. This new line now offers a wide variety of products, including planked crates, ammunition boxes, cable reels and appliqué armour for Sherman tanks.

As an introduction to the product, I ordered two items to experiment with.
The first product being the .50 cal 2 Can linked 220 round boxes. This is a 6 pack that includes banding, wing nuts and etched nails. Code number 350013, priced at $12.99 U.S.
The second is the Planked Crates, Code number 350101, priced at $12.99 U.S. This kit includes parts to make two complete crates, 13/16" x 1/2" x 5/8" each (in 1/35 scale!), interior and exterior etched planks, removable lid, with etched staples.

The parts came in plastic bags, and the instructions are located on the inside of the card cover. At first glance, the sheets resemble Photo Etch but are made out of real wood. I'm not sure what type of wood but my guess would be a cross between balsa and bass wood.
Separating the parts is easy with a sharp hobby knife and there is minimal clean up with a file. The website suggested using either Carpenters glue or CA for assembly. I used plain old Elmers white glue and that worked just fine. Assembly for one crate took a little under ten minutes.
I ordered the items on a Monday and they arrived on the Friday of the same week. Pretty quick delivery!
SUMMARY
Highs: Good detail and accuracyLows: None at this point!Verdict: These products will make a fine addition to any diorama or vignette to add accuracy and overall looks.
