This is the third in a series of "first look" reviews of Battlefleet Models "Accessories" line of offerings, this time, it's "36 Assorted Pallet Loads".

pallet (IPA: /ˈpæːlɨt/) (sometimes called a skid) is a flat transport structure that supports goods in a stable fashion while being lifted by a forklift, pallet jack, or other jacking device. A pallet is the foundation of a unit load design, which can be as simple as placing the goods on a pallet, and securing them with straps or stretch-wrapped plastic film, or as exotic as a ULD minicontainer.

While the majority of pallets are made of wood, pallets manufactured from plastic, metal, and paper can also be found. Each material has advantages and disadvantages relative to the others

This accessory set from BFM consists of four resin wafer sheets of 1/700 scale, individual pallet loads, 9 seperate pallet loads per sheet. The sheets come packaged sealed in an individually compartmented plastic bag, with Harry's Logo/description sticker on front...

This accessory set consists of :

18 palletized mine loads (4 mines per pallet)
6 palletized 55 gallon drums
6 palletized boxes/crates
6 palletized loads of lumber

On sheets 1 and 2, there is a total of nine pallets of mine loads, while on sheets 3 and 4, you will find nine additional pallet loads, 3 each of the above items. The detail of these pallet loads will allow the modeler to add some super realism to either a dock/harbor scene (see Jim Bauman's harbor images at the right) or onboard a working vessel.

These accessory parts are cast from Harry's quality resin, clean, free from trash and flash, with excellent details cast in to the parts. For use, all that is required is to trim around one (or more) of the pallet loads, a light buff along the edges with your sanding stick to "true up" your pallet, and it's ready for the finishing process!

No modelers stash should be without a few sets of these, as they can be adapted into many different builds and diorama scenes...and for a few bucks, they're a great deal!
SUMMARY
Highs: Various types and styles of palletted materials, clear details, very versatile, and a great price!
Lows: None!
Verdict: Every modeler should have a few of these in their stash...versatile, on board or at dockside, highly reccomended from this modelers point of view!

I have been building models of all sorts all of my life, concentrating mainly on the coolest one's when I was younger, but now I focus directly on all military subjects, from armor to warships. After years of counting rivets, I put away the calipers, dial indicators, and micrometers and now just ha...
