Intro...

There are several parts on a plastic ship kit that just do not look right in plastic, ladders are one of them. These are one of the easiest parts for anyone to switch out for even the novice builder.

The PE...

Fret C
Inside the package there are three separate frets of PE for the different types of ladders. The smallest fret, C, holds shorter ladders, 6 steps. There are also 6 davits for holding accommodation ladders, A-com ladder.

Fret B
Next you move onto Fret B. Here again is more regular external ladder for your ship. There are also 6 a-comm ladders to add to the sides of your ships. These are really nice looking. One detail seen on these is the depth created by the upper section when it is folded into position. Then you have the upper support that rides against the side oh the ship. This support has a roller on it to ride against the hull when the ladder is deployed.

Fret A
On to the last Fret A. This is the fret that includes many lengths of vertical ladders. You will also get stowed a-comm ladders. Also there are brackets to hold the stored a-comm ladders on the deck of your warship. There are 5 different styles of vertical ladders to add where needed.

All of the frets are covered with thin plastic sheets. This will help deprive the carpet monster your ladders.

The Instructions...

The instructions are one page. They show you what to fold and how to fold it. They are clear and straight forward.

Conclusion…

With the new Kriegsmarine ship kits coming out these are perfect to add to your project. When you find a new company it is difficult to judge their product online from a picture. Rest assured that these will work out well in your projects.

Looks a realy useful set, especially, always good to have some spare ladders. and davits & spreaders for accomodation ladders are not always included on dedicated etched sets. Si
