Intro...

There are now quite a number of modern Russian warships available in plastic, and also in resin, some of which, apart from the usual radars / railings /cranes / masts / ladders provided on the ship specific sets could use a little help in the moulded detail area.
The set...

This Generic set comes on a single fret packaged in a zip lock bag backed with a piece of card printed with the North Star Models logo. There are no instructions included in the set, but then non are really needed, as it is just a matter of overlaying the kit detail with the appropriate etched door / hatch, or adding missing detail
The Fret...

The fret measures 95mm x 40mm and is packed with in excess of 300 doors and hatches ranging from full size doors measuring 2.5mm x 1mm in a number of styles, with portholes, without portholes, also full height narrow doors, again with and without portholes and hatches down to 1mm x 0.5mm, all with neatly etched details for handles / dogs / handwheels as appropriate. Each door / hatch has a single attachment to the fret, so cleaning up will be simple.
Conclusion...

A small but packed and well etched set that will be very useful for all builders of modern Russian warships.
SUMMARY
Highs: A good number of styles , enough for several vessels.
Lows: None really
Verdict: Great little set, the sort of thing that for builders of its genre can find a place for on their work bench.
