I have been interested in military subjects from a very early age, probably due to having many members in my family history in the military starting with the American Revolution. I started building models at about eight years old when my mom enrolled me in a space club that included modeling spacecraft. At age ten I started building military aircraft, and shortly thereafter a friend introduced me to armor models via Monograms series of kits. I was especially impressed with Shepard Paine's work on the diorama sheets included with the Monogram kits.
