I like 1/144th as a scale for small combatants, have the Fletcher and would love a DE in this scale. Maybe an LST? Al
Hi Al,
I couldn't help but notice your comment re small combatants in 1/144th scale and thought I should engage in a wee bit of trumpet blowing. I'm in the throws of producing a range of 'little ships' in 1/144th scale which will be 60-70% brass etch plus resin parts including the hull.
The model I've built mostly for customers (initially card models then resin hull, deck etc) is the Fairmile B class ML. If there is any interest here I'll happily post details of what I'm planning in another separate thread.

Hi Jan,
thank you. It would be rather bad manners not to finish the LSM.

Really really good to see you back Julian.
I am no rivet counter so I don't understand the mentality personally.
My emphasis is on finishing and I apply a cost/benefit analysis to the rivet counting process.
Remember I believe that on this forum you are amongst friends and like minded people.
I hope you have been enjoying that New Zealand Savignon Blanc?

Camo looks great, Julian. Still gonna hold out for a LSM(R). But you do make it tempting.

Nice lookin camo!
I'm gonna do a LCM-3 with a WWII Dodge ambulance and a first aid jeep in it. Hope it comes out at least half as good as your work.

I love how it turned out, especially the camo. SWMBO likes it as well, so I guess I will pick one up. Thanks for sharing the build and I really do hope to see more.

Julian,
glad to see that you did not let yourself getting distracted!
Great work as always from your projects, the camo looks absolutely stunning!! Absolutely no way telling form your pictures that you did that with the hairy stick...this continues to be an amazing and really special project and build log!

Fantastic job Julian, I'm always amazed by the rapid progress of your builds. What paint did you use for the camo colours (there are quite a few Tamiya paint jars in your pics but I doubt that you used these for applying a camo pattern by hand).
