Fujimi has announced the January 2017 release of FUJ40138, a tiny version of the Imperial Japanese Navy’s Fifth Carrier Division in 1/3000 scale.

The scene measures 29.5 x 17.6 x 4.0 cm.

A new mold kit (No. 43132), that is to be released by August 24th, It has the option to be assembled as one of two vessels. The four Agano-class cruisers were all named after Japanese rivers.

The Go Shiki 2Goh 5Gata Catapult was the most common naval catapult used in the Imperial Japanese Navy for its battleships and cruisers. A kit of this apparatus will be made available this month.

Haruna was a warship of the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War I and World War II. Designed by the British naval engineer George Thurston, she was the fourth and last battlecruiser of the Kongō class, amongst the most heavily armed ships in any navy when built. Fujimi is releasing a limited 'premium' version kit of this imperial battlewagon.

Coming for the end of this month a new 1/350 Kaga. After releasing an early 3-flight deck Kaga in 1/700, Fujimi is rolling out a kit of the aircraft carrier's final appearance in the bigger scale.

Takao was the lead vessel of her class and they were the largest and more modern cruisers in the Japanese fleet. Her sister ships were Atago, Maya and Chōkai.This re-release of their previous Takao kit now comes with a dedicated photo-etch set.

This month Fujimi is releasing 3 full hull kits of the Imperial Japanese aircraft carriers, Hiryu, Soryu and Akagi. I made some tweaks to the original posting due to previous translation issues with the Fujimi site description of the kits.

An early version of the Kaga when she sported 3 flight decks is one of Fujimi’s latest releases.

Coming later this month, a kit of a cruiser that served as fast troop transport and a carrier of the Kaiten suicide submarines.

Fujimi is releasing this month a full-hull Kongo in her 1941 configuration. Kongo started life as a battlecruiser and ended it as a battleship.

Fujimi has been busy retooling a host of 1/700 World War II Imperial Japanese ships. There are aircraft carriers and battleships, aircraft carrying battleships and a couple of Pearl Harbor veterans.

A few months ago, Fujimi Models announced the upcoming release of their 1/350 HIJMS Haruna. Yesterday, Fujimi posted photos of this beautiful kit built up. Here are those photos.
