It looks nice, but I agree, it is pricey - and they don't even include the sub!

It’s Hobby Fan, and it looks like solid clear blue resin, therefore, it’s bound to be expensive, as almost everything HF is. Hobby Fan is the resin component manufacturer of AFV club, and they specialize in short-run and diorama subjects. I’m not trying to justify the cost (I think it’s a bit pricey too). But think about what goes into sculpting, casting a mold, then pouring such a piece. It’s pretty labor intensive. Would it be easier and less expensive to do it yourself? I imagine it’s at least 12” long, And 3” deep or more, and sculpted, so that’s a lot of clear resin to manipulate. I don’t particularly like the mold with it’s bow completely out of the water like that, but I suppose it’s artsy. VR, Russ

Not only pricey, but also heavy! Must have quite a nice shipping charge, too! BTW, if I was to DIY one, I definitely would not use resin.
