Thanks guys! The chinese junks are there to give you a location of the scene - there's no need to say where it is, is there? And the colours issue... I always dislike the dull and monotonous/colour blind/monocromatic dios - if I can make a scene with some colour interest I will, within the "limits"! My intention was to give a little colour "happiness" and also some location hints, without saying nothing! Rui, the more I look at it, the more I love it, it seems that you really went "on the other side" with this one, you make me lie when i express my doubts about ship dioramas i think that what I really love about it (+ the colours) is the way you handled the empty sea space. but i am sorry, now you will have to be compared with the bests, so I do think that the joint between the sea and your base is a little bit scruffy, and it's one place where you should maybe take more care of next time (there is a line visible on the last picture too)

Thanks (again) for the compliments, Jean-Bernard I know that some things could be improved, but I rushed some details in order to have the model ready for our club XI Expo As for comparing my work in this scale with the best - NO WAY! So far, in my life, I only have made 5 1/700 models, and I still have a lot to learn... Although I consider myself a skillfull modeler in my usual area (1/72 and mainly 1/35 or 54mm submarines), 1/700 is a completely different story! Ok, you can finish one 1/700 scale model ship during one weekend, but if you go "into the dark side" and put, at least some PE sets and make a water base, this could turn in a project for a month or more (please remember that I am a slow worker).... and I am not even talking about making corrections on the plastic model (damn references!!!!!) I know you are completely right on your coments, but I think that this will be taken care on a future project(s). For now, I will leave it as it is. Skipper
