The Manufacturers and Vendors
After "catching" Jim talking with Jacques Druel with Olaf paying atention to all details of the conversation, and also the Staff of WEM working (it looks like Peter Hall is giving Caroline a hard time ;) ) here goes a little description of the photos: - Wiener ModelBau Manufaktur stand with a couple built 1:72 K.u.K. Holland U-boot, some small 1:350 torpedoboots and the new K.u.K. Dukla Torpedoboot (Guido Hopp got a gold with his!) and the amazing master of a new 1:72 scale Torpedoboot made the excellence of this stand. Good job, Herr Peter! - The White Ensign Models had the "usual" look, with all the crew looking as a crew! Always busy, but with a good selection of goodies (own making and others too) with some displayed jewels built at 1/350 and some advertising for BattlefleetModels and BMK brass items (a nice touch that I didn't catch on the photos) - L'Arsenal was packed with a lot of literature, PE sets, some excellent display models and of course the L'Arsenal range and some novelties like the 1:700 HMS Biter (which I bought, thanks to Peter Fulgoney's advice). A very interesting stand and always friendly, n'est pas Jacques? - Milicast had the usual range of 1:76 range of wargaming landing craft, but this year had a new LCI. - The Revell GMbH stand with it's glassed stand always makes very difficult task to take photos, but there were the new 1:350 DKM Bismark, the 1:144 U-boot 214 Export Version, Typ VII-C and Typ 212 amongst others. Of note also is the built versions of the Laser Class sailboat. - Italeri/Tamiya had the test shots and box art cover for the new 1:700 Repulse. They looked good, and probably a good value for the money! Also, I was hoping to get a glimpse of the 1:35 Schnellboot... but no! - Eduard got two subs (Gato and VII-C/41 and also the Flak Schnellboot in 1:72 packed with their PE Sets and also a 1:350 USS Missoury representing the signing of the Japanese Surrender at Tokio Bay). - The Airfix Stand I didn't take photos because it was always crowded and I couldn't have a clear shot of the factory built Severn Class Lifeboat - sorry! Also of note was the release of the Trumpeter's 1:700 HMS Hood 1941 fit on severall Vendors, which was one of the most seen on visitors hands - I didn't brought one, due to space limitations!

Rui, the model in image #31...any details of the kit, artist, etc? The water rolling off the sub is extremely well done!

Hi Mark
That's Guido Hopp's Revell 1/144 VII-C Uboot
Impressive indeed
That was the result of plus 30 hour editing the photos - the lighting conditions of the venue is very dim, and then we cannot take tripods inside the competition area (not that I had one, but I could borrow)
