1⁄700INS Chakra AKULA II Class

"MSW Crew-mate Somboon Vongveeranonchai (eddiev200) sends us his second MSW submission, this time the focus on the AKULA II Class submarine!"
This is the kit from HobbyBoss. Nice little kit , the detail on the hull and bridge is excellent , the fit was pretty good, and no putty or fill was needed.
Recommended for anyone who wants to take on a HobbyBoss submarine kit. I can say "you must try and you'll love it"!
INS CHAKRA
The first of these two submarines was reportedly planned to be named INS Chakra. In January 1988, India had arranged a three-year transfer of a Charlie-I class nuclear attack submarine from the Soviet Union, also named Chakra. The word comes from the Sanskrit "cakra" meaning "wheel, circle", and sometimes also referring to the "wheel of life".

Hi Somboon
Thanks for sharing with us a couple of akula's.
Perhaps you could improve the Chakra with some flags too?
Congratulations,
Rui

Interesting vessel. What scale is the kit in? I know there are a wealth of Soviet / Russian submarine kits out there, is there 1 scale that covers the majority of them....like 350 (my favorite ship scale). It would be great if one of the submariners posted a list of what is out there and what scale. I keep hoping someone will put out 350 scale WW 2 German boats (Type VII and IX) to go with my Type XXI

Very nice subs... for sure the HobbyBoss modern subs are MUCh better (and cheaper!) than the ARII series.
