USS Ronald Reagan CVN76…
Ronald Reagan became president of the United States in 1981. He inherited a military that was shrinking and in bad shape to possibly battle the Soviet Union. He started out by rebuilding and his main target was the Navy. He announced to the world his intentions to build a 600 ship Navy.

This is the Italieri USS Ronald Reagan in 1/720. I constructed the rear part of the hangar, plus added extra details in the hull bays , were visible in order to add some depth. Added some extra detail on the bridge. I painted the planes overall grey 'ala' low visibility camo scheme and added some extra fuel tanks and replace their undercarriage. I glued about 150 figures on the deck as I wanted to have a busy feel and also made up some small trailers used for ammo transportation, refueling etc. The sea was made with silicone and I recreated the bow wave with a mixture of silicone, painted cotton, to give the extra volume.

That is awesome. Well done. If you take your model in pic #3 and photoshop it into an actual ocean background it would pass for the real thing.

As for the bow wave: It is cotton mixed with clear silicone, selectively painted with a bit of white, but still leaving a lot of the clear silicone to its natural hue.The cotton once mixed with the silicone gives an inner whitish glow without being too obvious to the eye and also leaving just the right amount of the silicone translucence to portray the see-through of the water at the very edges.
